Richard and Rory are planning their 2025 Goliath ride from Goliath UK Office, in Guildford, to Goliath HQ in Hattem, the Netherlands. Starting on 6th June 2025 riding 4 days totalling 600km, traveling across 4 countries, all unsupported. With a fundraising target of £10,000 – all proceeds going to BTHA Toy Trust.
The Toy Trust, the industry’s beloved charity dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children. Every mile they ride will help raise vital funds for this fantastic cause, and they’re calling on colleagues, industry friends and supporters to help them hit their fundraising target.
Richard and Rory, friends though working at Goliath, are not Olympic standard riders, nor accustomed to long bike rides. Regular commuting to work on bikes with the occasional Sunday ride to boot is probably not quite sufficient training. So 600km over 4 days will be a test in so many ways. Knowing the likely pain and suffering will payoff to support the Toy Trust is motivation enough so see the challenge though.
“This is by far the toughest challenge we’ve taken on,” said Richard. “600km over four days is no small feat but knowing we’re doing it for the Toy Trust keeps us motivated. We hope the industry will get behind us and support this incredible charity.”
Rory added: “We’ve pushed ourselves in the past, but this ride is next level. It’s going to test our endurance, but we’re determined to cross that finish line at Goliath HQ and reach our £10,000 fundraising target.”
